Delhi Nursery Admission: Delhi Government Extends Application Deadline For Private School Nursery Admissions

The Delhi government has extended the application deadline for private school nursery admissions by two weeks due to the current Covid situation, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday. The last date to apply for entrance classes in private schools in Delhi was January 12.

“Keeping in mind the current Covid conditions, the deadline for submitting applications for admission to Nursery Classes and Entrance to Private Schools in Delhi is extended for another two weeks,” Sisodia tweeted.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) had notified the admissions schedule last month. Admission to entrance classes for the previous academic session began in February 2021, after a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this year the schedule was consistent with previous years.

In accordance with the notified schedule, the first list of selected children will be drawn up on February 4. This will be followed by a second list on February 21 and a subsequent admission list, if applicable, on March 15. The entire admissions process will conclude on March 31.
