Delhi preschools will start admission for 2022-2023. Check dates, process

NEW DELHI : The admission process for kindergartens in Delhi is expected to start for the 2022-2023 school year.

The start of the admission process and the availability of forms will begin on December 15, 2021 and the last date for submitting application forms in schools is January 7, 2022.

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) will release the first list on February 4, 2022, and the admissions process would end on March 31, 2022.

Parents can download the details of children who applied for admission to the school under Open Seats on Jan 21, 022.

The process for uploading the scores (depending on the system) assigned to each of the children who have applied for open seat admission will take place on January 28, 2022.

The first list of selected children will be published on February 4, 2022 and the second list will be published on February 21, 2022.

Physical classes for primary and kindergartens had remained closed earlier due to the coronavirus pandemic that hit the country. Delhi was among the hardest hit during the second wave of the pandemic.

The Delhi Supreme Court and administration have again called on schools to resume online classes, keeping in mind the poor air quality in the nation’s capital. Physical classes remain closed here until further notice.

• A passport-size photo of the child

• the child’s Aadhar card

• Child’s birth certificate

• Proof of address

• a passport-size photo of the mother / father / guardian

• Family photo (mother, father and child)

Important points for parents

•Upper age limit
Nursery – 4 years
KG-5 years
Class 1 – 6 years

•Lower age limit
Nursery – 3 years
KG-4 years
Class 1-5 years

Children must be of the age mentioned on March 31, 2022.

• Application forms will be available in schools until the last registration date at the rate of ??25.

• The purchase of a prospectus is not compulsory.

• The flexibility of the admission age up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the school head within the minimum and upper age limit for these classes. Parents can approach the school principal / principal to find out an age release through a manual application.
