GenkiJACS language school opens third site in Japan
The nine-class school will be the company’s third in Japan and is expected to open in June 2019. Like other GenkiJACS schools in Fukuoka and Tokyo, the Kyoto institution will be located in the city center. .

“We are really excited to be showing our new Kyoto school to everyone,” GenkiJACS principal Evan Kirby said in a statement.
“Kyoto is a world-class destination and an incredible city. When added to our current schools in Fukuoka and Tokyo, this allows our partner agents to offer schools in all major regions of Japan. Students are welcome to travel the country and study with GenkiJACS wherever they stop!
Host families, guest houses, dormitories and private apartments will be available for students, while the school will offer a full program of social and cultural activities.
GenkiJACS offers a range of Japanese language courses, from survival courses for tourists to long-term courses at its schools in Tokyo and Fukuoka.
The Japanese language travel industry saw a 25% increase in the number of students enrolled to learn the language in 2015.
According to the latest JASSO survey, as of May 1, 2018, more than 90,000 international students were enrolled in Japanese language schools.
