Online admission for Class XI begins at Chandigarh Public Schools; Here are the details: The Tribune India

Online admission for class XI in public high schools in Chandigarh started on Monday.

This year, a total of 42 high schools (39 coeducational schools and three girls’ schools) are open for admission, offering admission to 13,570 places, including 3,080 places in science, 1,980 in commerce, 6,720 in humanities and 1,790 for different Skills Courses.

The deadline to complete the form will be August 9. The centralized online admission portal has been developed and will be managed by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).

The prospectus will be available and the registration form must be completed online at with registration fee of Rs. 150/- payable online.

There is only one registration form for all streams. Students who have passed the CBSE Class X exam in 2022 will have their result embedded and therefore there will be no need to scan-upload the detailed score sheet.

Seats are allocated to candidates in order of merit. Following the posting of the Provisional Student Common Merit List, student grievances (if any) would be invited (details of which are in the Prospectus).


Complete and submit the online registration form: until 9.08.2022 (until 5 p.m.)

Display of the provisional list of common merit: 08.12.2022 at 11 a.m.

Online Objection Submission by Applicants: 12.08.2022 (from 11.30 a.m.) to 14.08.2022 (until 1 p.m.)

School and Stream Breakdown: 19.08.2022 at 12 p.m.

Online contribution deposit: From 19.08.2022 (from 1.00 p.m.) to 22.08.2022 (until 11.59 p.m.)

Beginning of classes: 23.08.2022

Second visit: The dates will be communicated later.


Admissions Help Desk: Students can contact all UT high schools and government high schools for assistance in completing the online form from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
