Admissions to Sainik schools across the country have started. Admission forms for the 2022-2023 session are now available for students and applications are being accepted for grades 6 and 9. Admissions are open for a total of 33 Sainik schools in the country. Aspirants can register by visiting the official AISSEE website – aissee.nta.nic.in.

The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) for admissions to Sainik Schools will be organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), an independent and autonomous examining organization.

Steps to register for admission to Sainik 2022 school

– Visit the official website, aissee.nta.nic.in

Click on the link that reads “Apply for AISSEE 2022”

Click on the ‘New registration’ tab

Fill out the Sainik school form by entering the required credentials

Upload relevant photo, signature, thumbprint and certificates

Pay the application fee and submit the form

Aspirants will also have to pay a Registration fees to appear for AISSEE 2022. The registration fee for General, OBC (NCL), wards of defense personnel and veterans is Rs 550, while the amount for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe is Rs 400.

The correction window to correct discrepancies in the application form will be open from October 28 to November 2. The exam will take place on January 9, 2022.

The duration of the admission exam in class 6 is 150 minutes and for class 9 is 180 minutes. The exam schedule for class 6 is from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. While for class 9, it is from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sainik Schools are English-speaking residential schools affiliated with the Central Council for Secondary Education (CBSE) and prepare cadets to join the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Khadakwasla (Pune), National Defense Academy (NDA) and other training academies for officers. It offers admission at the class 6 and class 9 level.

Students are admitted to Sainik schools on the basis of their performance at AISSEE. The AISSEE 2022 exam will be conducted by the NTA in pen-paper mode in 176 Indian cities.
