A 38-year-old man was arrested by police in Lanka on Tuesday for allegedly sodomizing five underage boys aged 11 to 14.

According to a report published in The Times of India (TOI), the accused has been identified as Murari Lal, a resident of Gangapur. He sexually assaulted the boys after assuring their parents to admit them to a school in Kamaksha region, police said.

Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh was quoted by TOI as saying that based on the complaint filed by a parent of underage boys, the accused was convicted under section 377 of the IPC and sections 3 , 4 of the Pocso law. In addition, an investigation into the case is still ongoing.

According to the complaint lodged by the complainant, the accused, Murari Lal, had contacted him two months ago, when he assured him to admit his five cousin brothers in class VI and IX in a important school in the Kamaksha region.

He further alleged that Murari sodomized the boys one by one by taking them to some bushes near the BHU helipad.

However, the case came to light on October 21 when the underage boys finally informed their parent about Murari’s sexual assault or mischief, after which he quickly filed a complaint with the police.

Meanwhile, when questioned about it, Murari revealed that he taught in coaching centers and private schools for a living.

Additionally, he confessed that he was gay and knowing this his wife had left him with two children, TOI revealed in his report.
