VidyaGyan announces the opening of admissions for its 2022-23 academic session – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News

The VidyaGyan Leadership Academy has opened its admissions process for the 2022-23 academic session to enable deserving and economically disadvantaged rural students in Uttar Pradesh to access the best educational opportunities. Shiv Nadar Foundation free boarding school, VidyaGyan will select students to study in 6th and 7th grade at its two campuses of Bulandshahr and Sitapur. Application forms will be available free of charge from 16 December 2021 on/with:

Office of the District Education Officer and Block Education Officer
All public and recognized primary schools in UP

Eligibility criteria:

Students must be from low-income rural households (with a combined family income not exceeding Rs.1 lakh per year).
To apply for admission to grade VI and grade VII, the student must study respectively in grade V and VI in a rural school
Age of girls:
Minimum 10 years and maximum 12 years for grade VI and 14 years or less for grade VII
Age of boys:
Minimum 11 years and maximum 12 years for grade VI and minimum 11 years and maximum 13 years for grade VII

The three-step admissions process will include:

Preliminary written test (offline) in all districts of UP to be held in March 2022
Written test for pre-selected children in the preliminary round
Interaction with selected students and their families
Established in 2009, VidyaGyan has transformed the lives of many students and their families over the past decade. Manu Chauhan, who graduated from the school in 2021, gained admission to Stanford University in the United States, among the top three universities in the world, on a 100% scholarship. Sachin Agrawal of the 2017 VidyaGyan batch passed the revered UPSC exam on his first attempt and will soon join the service.
